[easily pleased there then aren't ya lily] As an exchange of horror stories goes, this was quite an evening! Being a counsellor you come across some stories that are just something else... I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something. I wonder if people will ever say, 'let's hear about Frodo and the Ring.' And they'll say 'yes, that's one of my favorite stories. Frodo was really courageous, wasn't he, Dad?' 'Yes, my boy, the most famousest of hobbits. And that's saying a lot.' If you think about a group of people from chicago for long enough, then there are many stories that you can start to write Now listen here, you might think this format has had it's day, but there's still a helluva lot of western stories to tell Stories don't always end where their authors intended [though they have no truth outside the confines of what the author has written] The stories of our ancestors. How they solved problems. Often the problems never change. Nor the people. Whenever I try to remember my dreams, I always turn them into stories You have heard the stories, the tales, the half truths and now you will just hear... the truth
